    I find when using different Civs  I'm not quit sure what combinations of units will work well together, UNTIL it's to late... So I've worked on a little chart that may save you a lot of leg work figuring out what's good combinations of units for different Civs............. Plz note that I've missed out monks on all combos (they should be included in all your armies as standard).......Also this is a ROUGH GUIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Civ Combo of units that work well together Combo Weakness
Feudal age Skirmishers + Spearmen (and maybe Scouts if your enemy does the same) If you build an army in this age and the enemy don't.... Then they have upper hand in economy, so if you do build an army USE IT!!!!
Castle age Knights + Archers/Skirmishers (depends if you built skirmishers in Feudal age) if you are winning then throw in a few Rams too... Attacked by Pikemen + Skirmishers
Aztecs Eagle Warriors + Jaguar Warriors + Pikemen Very Expensive
Britons Archers + Halberdiers 1)Attacked by Koreans/team mates (+1/2 range) or Celts (+ 50% HP) Onagers (and maybe skirmishers if you are not at full Strength)
2)Slow moving (i.e. cant cause lots of damage to a home base fast,, giving time for they to recover)
3)Skirmishers may cause a problem but can be easily countered with Onagers or Stable units or Champions
Byzantines Cataphracts + Cheap counter Units + Bombard Cannons Attacked by Long range units Archers/Cannoners + Paladins/Heavy Camels
Celts Siege Onagers + Heavy Scorpions + Halberdiers Very Expensive + Slow
Chinese Heavy Scorpions + Champions + Halberdiers 1)Limited range
2)Attacked by Onagers
Franks Paladins + Throwing Axe men (or skirmishers) Halberdiers + Onagers (or champions)
Goths UU + Champions + Halberdiers + Trebs Not much, but if used right Ranged units + Champions/Stable Units.... Or Byzantines Cataphracts 
Japanese Halberdiers + Champions + Skirmishers NOT FOUND YET (maybe Scorpions)
Koreans Onagers + Halberdiers + UU 1)If attacked by Eagle Warriors or Goths UU or Celts UU 
2)Expensive 
Mayans Elite Eagle Warriors + Elite Plumed Archers + Halberdiers  NOT FOUND YET (maybe Goths UU) + Expensive
Mongols Elite Mangudai + Pikemen + Hussar (followed by Champions if needed) Lots of Skirmishers + Pikemen
Persians Elephants + Cannoners 1)Attacked by Halberdiers +/or Monks (vs Elephants) + Onagers/Archers (vs Cannoners)
2)Slow (even with speed upgrades) (this can be change by having Paladins instead of elephants)
3)Expensive
Saracens Archers + Mameluke 1)Expensive
2)Attacked by Siege Onagers backed with Pikemen
Spanish Champions(30) + Cannoners(30) + Bombard Cannons(4-5) + Missionary (UU Monk) (5-6) .....Plus throw in Paladins/Hussar if he gets Siege Onagers  1)Could be Expensive
2)Difficult to keep right amounts of different units (i.e. with high villager Population you may end up with all cannoners etc)
NOTE: I have beaten 2 average/good players with this combo on BF
Teutons  Champions + Cannoners + Paladins Very Expensive
Turks Cannoners + Bombard Cannons + Hussar 1)Attacked by mass Archers/Skirmishers + Pikemen/Halberdiers
2)Very Expensive
Vikings Champions + Archers + Pikemen Attacked by Paladins + Archers (vs Pikemen) or Archers (vs Champions) + Onagers (vs Archers
