As you know if you leave Boar, Deer or
sheep alone (after killing them) the food you can collect from the bodies
decreases over time, the same happens when you are collecting the food
too, the table below gives you the amount of food you can get from each carcass
depending on how many vills you use to collect the food.

As you can see the more villagers you have eating the Dead Bodies the more food you will gather from it... Now there are 2 ways of looking at this:-
The more villagers on the bodies you have the more you will get, and ultimately the more resources you will end up with.......
Also the other way to look at it is:- Once you have collected all the food, the villagers have to walk to somewhere else, Ultimately wasting time, and don't forget the villager crowding problem, where villagers trap other villagers while they collect recourses too, or bump into each other when walking (this is also try for all else like berries, wood, etc), this is not usually a problem if you are eating in the middle of the TC..
******Please not that this wasn't tested for some of the new civs in AoC, like Mayans with their bonuses of resources lasting longer******
