Mission 3, Level 3: Radar Installation

Mission Briefing:

Proceed through the outer compound en route to the X-Airbase where you will find the Bachem 317 "Kobra" rocket plane. It is certain that after the destruction of the rocket base the outer compound will also be on full alert, so once again use all means at your disposal in eliminating all resistance along the way.

Also, the outer compound contains a new MVX-mk1 radar installation. Your orders are to destroy the radar installation before proceeding to the X-Airbase. German resistance also reports that some of Himmler's "Black Guard" soldiers may be stationed near the base.

You start this level in the ventilation shaft from the last mission. Before climbing out, scope the area with your sniper rifle and clear out as much opposition as you can from afar, and then climb down and to the right, crossing the wide bridge.

At the far end of the bridge, you'll eventually have to take the tunnel to the right, but you can make things easy on yourself by ducking in the small building to the left and going upstairs, where you'll find a mounted machinegun. Simply aim down the passageway and about 10 guards should make themselves easy targets for you.

Head down the passageway, taking out more guards as you go. One will have a Panzerfaust rocket launcher, and others will try and snipe you from above, so don't get caught with your Lederhosen down.

As you exit the tunnel, there will be a small barracks to your left. Go through and jump out the window, where you'll find another mounted gun. Mow down the baddies and continue forward.

If you want, you can explore the buildings in this area, but you really want to wind your way to the right, through the underpass and up the staircase. From there, your path can get a little confusing...but not if you take our shortcut: take the door to the right, and drop down through the grate to a secret storeroom with a Panzerfaust and other weapons. You can find some dynamite in a second storeroom across the way, and then head upstairs. (Try not to use the rocket launcher at all, as you'll be happy to have it in a little while.)

Once upstairs, take the door all the way around back, leading to the radar dish. Plant some dynamite in the radar dish room and get youself clear. After the fireworks, the door to the right of the radar dish will magically open -- that's your escape route.

Once inside, head down the ladder and through the communications room, killing any Nazis along the way. There are two doors here -- you want the one on the left (the one straight ahead leads back to an area you were at before), which will lead you to the end of the level.
