Mission 5 Level 4: Super Soldier

Objectives: Pursue Deathhead to the Uber Soldat Test Lab Eliminate Deathshead's Uber Soldat Locate exit and proceed to the surface

There is very little information about the "X-Labs" themselves. Our defecting scientist worked in weapons research, and although he is aware of the existence of the "X-Labs" he has never been there. He has however, informed us that the "X-Labs" do make extensive use of "Tesla" technology to create powerful, guided electrical fields. These are apparently used for everything from security gating to local power generation.

It is also rumored that this technology is what drives the nervous systems of what our scientist calls the "X-creatures". This last statement indicates that you will probably engage more of the "Lopers" that you first encountered at the Secret Weapons Facility, as well as other unknown types of "X-Creatures".

There isn't a whole lot to this level. You'll have to fight your way through a few Super Soldier Prototypes until you reach Deathshead himself for a really tough showdown. Start the level by taking out the SS Prototype that greets you, then looking around the cloning tanks and grabbing whatever health and ammo you can find. In the next area will be a couple of soldiers, a Venom Soldier, and another SS Prototype. Taking them all down will open the door to Deathhead's lair.

This is a really hard fight, and there's no secret to winning. You just have to keep pounding on the Super Soldier until it finally gives up the ghost. It has a long range Tesla Cannon attack and a Panzerfaust that can easily reach you on the catwalk, so you'll need to get down on the main floor so that you can weave in and out of cover. There are also Flak Jackets and helmets on the main floor, so be sure to grab them. Kee weaving in and out of cover and wailing on the Super Soldier until it goes down. Use the room underneath Deathhead for cover, and don't forget about the nearby health packs. Once the monstrosity goes down, grab the Tesla Cannon to easily mop up the scientists that run out to cover Deathshead's escape. Once they're dead, go up the stairs and pursue Deathshead. Unfortunately, he'll get away at the last second. Curses!
